Back Field is a conversion of the old farm buildings adjoining Penrice Old Farmhouse. The buildings date from the second half of the eighteenth century.

The layout of the buildings is L-shaped and they take their name from the field behind. The buildings are single storey all on one level and make an ideal self catering holiday cottage for more than one family. There is a large enclosed garden to one side of the property.

There are three bedrooms – two double rooms with king size beds and one twin room. All bedrooms have en suites, two with baths with a shower above and one of the doubles with a shower room. Back Field sleeps up to six people.

With the L-shaped nature of the buildings, one double room is at one end and at the other end are the two other bedrooms. The sitting room is situated in the middle. There is a free standing log burner in the sitting room. The floors in the kitchens, bathrooms and sitting room are slate and the bedrooms carpeted.

The kitchen is fully fitted with a gas hob and electric oven, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer and a washer/drier. The sitting room is open plan and most rooms have the original exposed timbers.

To the side of the property is a large lawn and patio with garden furniture and B.B.Q overlooking Penrice Top Park. There is a shrubbery at the bottom of the garden. Private access is via a driveway behind the Old Farmhouse and there is parking for several cars. For larger groups, this property may be rented together with the Farmhouse to accommodate up to fourteen people.

Free WIFI is available from the property.

Bath and hand towels, tea towels and a kitchen hand towel are included in the cost.

Our hampers are the perfect way to ensure that your holiday starts with a smile and takes away any added pressure. We have various hampers available from BBQ packs to home baked cakes, flowers, chocolates, champagne or a special celebratory cake.

Booking

To request a booking in one of our self catering cottages please complete our booking form. We will then contact you to take a third of the total cost payment on a debit card over the phone. The balance is payable 8 weeks before your arrival date.
